Tony Sorensen - Director of Sorensen Tree Consultancy

BSc (Hons) Arb. MICFor MArborA

Tony has been practising as an arboricultural consultant since 2006, with particular expertise in BS5837-based surveys and planning assessments, QTRA tree risk management, and tree law.

Before establishing Sorensen Tree Consultancy, he spent over fifteen years as a senior consultant on residential, commercial and infrastructure projects of all scales, and prior to that served as a Conservation Officer (Arboriculture) at a Norfolk Local Planning Authority, a background that gives him a practical understanding of how planning policy is applied on both sides of the table.

He is a Lantra-certificated Professional Tree Inspector, a licensed QTRA practitioner, a Professional Member of the Arboricultural Association and Chartered Member of the Institute of Chartered Foresters (MICFor). His work spans single-dwelling householder planning applications through to major strategic residential development, nationally significant infrastructure projects, historic estate management, and mineral extraction sites.
